The 2015 Beaujolais

Over the course of the past week I drank a bottle of Thevenet 2015 Regnie "Grain et Granite". Totally primary, packed full of fruit and acid, but no minerality yet and not much grace, either. By the third day some little bit of flavor squeezed past the onrushing fruit train but sheesh, I have no interest in drinking this again for quite a while.
 
From my limited experience with 2015, I enjoyed 2009 a lot more on release.

But I trust track records and am particularly looking forward to 2015 Foillard pulling into form.
 
2015 Burgaud Morgon Les Charmes was very good with 24 hours of air. even better on day 2. dense fruit at first but softened up and became quite enticing. under $20 too.

Interesting. And I would describe the 2014 of this same wine as a bit savage and perhaps not quite exuberant enough. I wonder if the 2015 might be a stylistic departure from previous vintages as well.

The several bottles of 2015 Chignard Fleurie that I've consumed over the past few months have shown exceptional balance between fruit and sinew. Precisely what I look for in Cru Beaujolais.
