La Percee du Vin Jaune 2010 - Help

Thanks, Sharon: Even though they aren't there to pour, are there places to buy the wines of the really good producers (other than the auction)? On the subject, is the auction just for rich folk or can poor people like me take part? Best, Joe

La Percee du Vin Jaune 2010 - Help

Amy and I are thinking of making our first trip to France for "La Percee du Vin Jaune" in 2010. Has anyone been? What should we expect from the area and from the festival? Any reccos for lodging? Should we fly into Dijon? Thanks, Joe

Nice. Vigna Rionda is good stuff. There are a lot of crappy bottles of old Barolo in the Piedmont, many cellars still stand them up. Thanks for the notes. Best, Joe

The Cappallano was great! It just wasn't showing much fruit.

If it makes you feel any better, Mike retracted his Kiwis when he determined they were not ripe enough.

This would require some creative quoting so I will just answer as best I can. I think that someone said the Nomadic Pinot was made by our own Levi Dalton? I think the Rupestris is more masculine than the Franco, which could be better or worse depending upon expectations. I adore them both...
