Anybody want to write an article on Loire Valley Cab Franc?

I'm looking for an article of Loire Valley Cab Franc A regional overview of Cabernet Franc in the Loire valley, how regions differ and who are the producer to watch out for: with tasting notes on current release offerings, or at least wines that are currently available in the US. It is for...

    Wines Not Tasted

I've tried it. Very nice wine, dense without being heavy, velvety stuff with a refined, elegant feel to it full of blackcherry, blackberry fruit all topped with distinct soil tones. It's a very nice wine, in effect a Cerasuolo riserva. The price is ambitious.

    Wine Spectator Greatness

Was it the Monfortino, or a Barolo Riserva, which you might have bought from a retailer in Westchester?

    East Bay Wine Partners 1987 L C S

Had the 88 ESj Syrah last night. It was well past peak but remained fresh and complex, if faded. Still really delicious, though it deserved appropriate food, I was thinking wild boar ribs. I think I have another bottle so that's the plan at least.

    Montevertine Il Sodaccio Question

Equivalent to Montevertine Riserva, thought as a single vineyard some might argue it is more distinctive.

    East Bay Wine Partners 1987 L C S

Sounds good to me. Thanks Steve for popping the cork. I'll be drinking the 88 Syrah next Tuesday. Recall the difficulties with 1988, but I'm still hopeful that it might be showing well. The LCS will have to wait for a lineup of Chateauneufs in April but I'll report back with impressions on both.

Anyone try their 1987 Les Cotes Sauvages in recent memory? Thinking of pulling one from the cellar, I mean what am I waiting for?
