    This and That.

I bought a couple bottles of Mimmo a few years back at Old Woodward Cellar. They had a few of the Le Piane wines then.

    TN: 2024 Kabinetten (Feb 25, 2026)

For folks who have been liking the Max Kilburg wines I've been opening lately, Source Material just put out the offer for the 2024 Spatlesen. I'm guessing there is very low quantity. They are clearing through Crush, and there is an automatic 10% discount if you buy more than one.

    This and That.

That Lafarge has the cachet, and nearly 90 year old vines. But I've never been too impressed by what's in the bottle.

    2006 Clos de Roilette

I have a lot of vintages other than '06 as well, both older and younger. But '06 was the topic here. Happy to contribute others too.

I have 3 2006 Fleurie I bought on release from CSW. An NYC local tasting can be arranged.

    Seeking Thoughts on 1975 Bordeaux

I also encourage you to find Gilman's write up of our horizontal last year. I have had very good experience with 1975s the last 7-8 years. As Pavel suggested, especially RB and Graves. But no worries on the LB either.

    TN: Pernot, Krug, Olga Raffault

    This didn't age particularly well.

    I really like 2019s too.

    This and That.

The Mimmo sounds great. Any reason to wait?

    Produttori del Barbaresco

I've had the '21 Produttori, without seeing the label, and I wouldn't have clocked it above 13.5-14%. It's pretty good.

TN: Celebration of 1995 Loire Wines (Dec. 13, 2025)

Thank Bernoulli. Don told me it worked! Twice! Don told me about this technique earlier this year, and we tried it together but failed. I was happy to hear it worked!

TN: The Virtual Tasting #57 (December 8, 2025)

Jay, I brought a bottle to our dinner August 5 at Aba, where it was fairly well received. I can't recall your impression though.

    XP: Written Word/English Language&Reading Material

All that, but it's worse because he uses the correct (and actually existent) possessive pronoun in the same phrase. A triple cringe.

    XP: Written Word/English Language&Reading Material

Someone on WB wrote, "for my wife and I's 40th birthday." I need to put it somewhere to cope with the mental anguish. So here. Double cringe.
