    Oyster Bliss

I had on '06 Les Pierres Plates by Jamain last night. We didn't have oysters but some good Cornilly from Jacquin Fromagerie which it went well with if a little flabby. Good to see he wear blue jumpsuits!

    Seattle Recommendations?

I went to a place called Tilth when I went out there. Pretty interesting and diverse menu based around their organic certification. Mostly american nouveau- style cooking meaning very fancy dishes fit to serve one or two(they have full and half dishes,) all of which are of the local northwestern...

    A parting shot from W

St. Agur> Other blues. Genuine Roquefort gets my nod for number two or three though.

    Words from KL

What else can you tell me about the Les Pallieres? Are those Kermit's feelings or yours? We brought a few cases into work for a class on the Rhone were doing and I am interested in taking a few home if they're worth the tag.

    TN: Recent Italian Wines

I found this wine to be tighter than any Barolo I've ever had. After four hours of decanting two different bottles, one of them opened up and displayed similar characteristics to what you describe. What really impressed me about this wine was the color-the lightest non-aged Nebbiolo I've been...

    TN: Some Recent Rhones

Great notes here, quite the Rhone fanatic you are. The wines seem to be quite disappointing for the prestige level although the Coudoulet follows suit. Sad to see the Vieux's not performing.

    RTN: Final Loire 2/08

The KO is a cot or better known in the new world as Malbec. This is no Cahors or Argentine though which tend to taste more like Bordeaux for me, this has elegance in the way a pinot noir does. They oak the Argentine's way to much imo whereas Cot tends to be fresher and more feminine-softer...

    RTN: Final Loire 2/08

I would personally try any Tue-Boeuf wine you can get your hands on depending on your color preference. As far as the negoce wines go, the KO is a personal fave and the Cheverny should be good. Any petillant is also interesting imo, especially from TP.

    CWD: The End Is Near

As far as I can see you've got a handful of killer wines. Also, I think Kim is on a moratorium.

    TN: 2007 Statti Gaglioppo

Nice easy drinking wine I would have to agree. Reminiscent of a soft Cru Beaujolais.

    Happy New Year!

A few sparklers: Poema Cava Domaine Carneros 2005 Brut J Russian River Cuvee Brut Gruet Brut None of these were special but since the crowd wasn't looking for exceptional quality I went for good QPR.
