    I second that opinion. The Foillard Jr. tariff compounded with the Kermit tariff prices the wine out much higher than what I think it's worth compared to other good Beaujolais.

    Any wineries worth visiting in Argentina?

    The most compelling wine I've tasted recently was a Malbec from Finca Adalgisa. When I tasted it last year current release was 2011, and the first aromatic comparison that came to mind was older (they're all kind of old) Musar. Pretty small production, something like 5,000 to 6,500 bottle per year.

    Playful, but obnoxious at best, downright hostile at worst. Though my first impression was of a nightmarish hellscape of wine buying.

    I had the fortune (perhaps misfortune as well) to try a bottle of Verset's 2006 Cornas last month, and I'm only sorry I wasn't drinking wine when he was active... now that I know what I'm missing. Always a shame to lose, from what I could gather from one bottle, a vigneron of his talent.
