San Francisco, April 24 or 25?

With other disorderlies in town for the Very Veri Vini stuff, it seems like a good time to get the locals together and jeeb in a more relaxed setting. Like, after the Terroir stuff. Maybe Friday night, or Saturday afternoon/eve?

Who's around and interested? I can host and am in the city. Easy parking, even.

I can make the 25th as well. I was also thinking about roasting a leg of lamb.

As for a theme, how about the the dry wines of Portugal as well as the wines of Israel, Greece, Lebanon, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania?

The Captain's blog suggests that late night drinking at Terroir is the plan for Friday night.

Saturday is looking good.

Claude - the big one, eh? Happy birthday!

Steve, I'm determined not to have a theme. I desire chaos. But for those who require structure, how about this: old favorites and new discoveries.

Arjun, only if Mark Squires brings a killer assyrtiko.

My wife is taking her Professional Engineering exam on saturday morning (we wil also be up on thursday) so we will be celebrating in the city that night so this is perfect. How do these things work?

Cory,

Eat, drink. Engage in idle chatter about Susan Boyle, spoofulation, Dune, Brad Kane's photography, and whether Pepiere or Reuilly goes better with oysters. I hope you can join us.

Everyone,

Let's talk start time. We could start at 3pm and catch a few hours of sun, sip some '96 Fief du Breil or '02 Huet petillant up on the hill next door (great view). Or do more of an early dinner and drinking thing, starting in say the 6-7pm range. I probably favor the former but am up for whatever.

Kraft, vlm, what's up with you guys?

Early is better for me because I'm driving to the Fair Play area for a get together first thing Sunday morning.
I'll bring a couple of wines from Grass Valley for people to try, including a gamay, and a zin.
What do we do foodwise?

Cory, excellent. Msg me with your email address, if you don't mind.

Rahsaan, thanks for the support.

Larry, does 3pm ish work for you?

I was going to ask someone to please bring some Burgundy for Arjun, but if it's as hot as today we'll probably end up drinking Isastegi Basque cider all afternoon. I think those poor boys at Terroir are drinking more of it than they're selling this week.

Slaton, not sure yet. I'll check with Sandi. We do have plans for part of the day, but I don't know how much time that will entail. She'll be coming to the event at Terroir tomorrow evening so perhaps we can talk further about it.

What's the deal with food? What should we be bringing?
