i just opened a 2018 verdier-logel cotes de forez la volcanique. moutain gamay from the hills between sancerre and beaujolais. more colour than typical, but crunchy gamay fruit. the back import label sez 14.5%. that has to be tarrif beating fiction.

one of the distributors i work with told me that he saw beaujolais nouveau this last fall labelled at 14.1%

It's a sign of the times that we aren't entirely sure of this.
