I love it when they leave the "s" off.

"Library" release. [Ed: cracks me up: library? where?]

But still. Domaine holds til perfection, presumably in perfect conditions. Nice!

This IS nice. REALLY nice. It's Mme L's 61st, dinner at Ursa Minor, delicious food. At first, enough oxidation I got worried (can someone remind the diff between oxidized and oxidative?)...but second sip, all was well. Very powerful acid backbone, chicken stock, all that minerally complexity, acacia flowers, classic. Evolution with every sip.

Vacation def off to a good start, wine and otherwise.

Oxidized means the wine was changed by exposure to air, which changes are typically bad and extreme (e.g., browning, sherry flavor, vinegar flavor).

Oxidative means the wine has flavors that are reminiscent of oxidation, typically mild, e.g., nuts, toast, dried fruit, brioche, maybe the 'wooly' scent in chenin.

OK, thanks. I remember back in the day it was a big no-no to mix them up. In the milder, happier WD era, all is forgiven. Perestroika 4ever!
