I'm forsaking the rolling hills of the Virginia Piedmont next week to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Are any members of the NY chapter interested in a casual glass of wine and some idle chatter?

I'm arriving Wednesday afternoon, 12/7; departing Sunday, 12/11.

Upstate isn't on my itinerary, Mark. A deficiency.

Jeff, I'm booked during the day on the 9th, but otherwise I'm up for anything. If you think the Staten Island ferry is the way to go, I'm game. If there are dinner or jeebus-style plans anywhere, I'll bring up a couple of bottles. Salad bar and sake? Why not. But, warning - I'm not a night owl.

I suppose I should have posted originally on the jeebus page - the Politburo is invited to move the thread there if they deem it appropriate to do so.
 
Well, I won't say I'm not disappointed not to have met one or two of the Gotham illuminati, after more than a decade of virtual interaction. Best wishes for a restful winter holiday season, in any event.
 
Oh, sorry, too, I never received it. There's evidently something wrong with my email address as it's recorded in the Wine Disorder system: numerous times in the past I've requested an email with my password, but it never comes (I have it now, sequestered in a secure location). At least I managed to drop in at CSW and say hi to David.

I had a great time, FWIW, New York city is a phenomenon. One forgets.
