Thoughts on Beaujolais and close down

I recently left a cryptic note on Hoppenot, after a couple terrific bottles late summer...

Went deep and bought five cases of 2020s...

Now, closed, deeply asleep, esp. the Moriers but also the Corcelette (the Origines still has one eye open).

I have noted wines from both these vineyards closing down, and being surprised...the Corcelette especially - which just seems like a wine that would always stay light on its feet.

What's folks' thoughts about how long to come out of shell?

I'm not talking here about flogging big wines like 05 or 09 into submission.

In terms of impact of climate change, 2020 is the worst vintage I have seen in Beaujolais so far.
Unbelievable heat and drought during the whole summer.
Far worse than in any other region in France, imo.
Even vignerons with a very light hand made big wines with a lot of "matière".
The early (very) ripe fruit hid this quite efficiently, but it is not a surprise that it's not the case anymore 2 years after harvest.
Difficult, for me, to predict where these wines are heading to... 2003 ended splendid in some cases.
OTOH, 2009 are still undrinkable for me, without much hope afaic.
 
I'm crushed.

I guess I need to pay more attention to vintages. I sort of stopped a while back.
 
FWIW, I find these nothing like 03s...and I find the shut down profile on the Corcellete and Moriers totally consistent with past vintages...ie how they were primary and shut down.
