Cllo '21 -- wow!!!

I never know if you’re pulling our leg or not, Pete.
(On the other hand, I know exactly what Robert is saying.)

Seriously, did you like this wine (and others like it)? And if so, why?
I’ve tried some like the Clio,Mollydooker SQN, etc. genre and I walk away thinking that they are some sort of fruit syrup or milk shake wannabe. But not wine.
I know a lot of people who love these things.
I don’t understand them but I still like them.

Slight(?) credibility gap...

"The 2021 Clio is ripe and heady with 16% alcohol and generous oak. It's faithful to the house style, but like many other wines from the 2021 vintage from the Gil family, this also came through as fresher and more balanced than the 2020 counterpart. It has a full-bodied palate with abundant but finer tannins. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2023." - Luis Gutiérrez WA

Okay, so you were pulling our leg.

And just a personal aside, I have no interest in what Mr. Gutierrez has to say - he’s just another salesman. But I am interested in what you have to say about a wine you’ve tried.

Jim, I can't imagine a scenario in which I would get a chance to taste this "monstrosity". The wine was ineffectively pitched to me by a local purveyor.

I found the make-up and review hard to believe. Repeating: "Hard to imagine".
