How was the '03 Monprivato?

I'm kind of curious about checking in on '03 Barolo/Barbaresco.
For the first 30 minutes, the wine of the weekend. Ethereal!
Thereafter, good but not near at the heights when first opened.

Jim, impressive "Kindness". Speaks well of you and your "Friends".

. . . . . . Pete
Pete,
This group has been getting together annually for 26 years. Some of the participant’s kids are now part of the group. We refer to the event as “Rednecks and Rhônes” but the theme is a thing of the past - now, it’s just bring your best. And that, as you see, can be something.
The core is an aging group of southern folk who have been into wine for decades - some, 5 decades.
And when the call goes out, most of us come back to Greensboro, NC, for the most consistently remarkable tasting I know. And the same couple do all the food and dig deep in their cellar.
I’ve been to a lot of such events and nothing compares.
The kindness is genuine. The connections outside the event, lasting.
And the friends . . . real.
Come one, come all.
