Beaujolais Beauty (Georges Descombes, Roilette, Texier)

Bought a half case of the '21 Marquis from RWC and couldn't help myself - popped the cork on one to try.

Pretty damn special wine I can tell, but not quite my favorite at this time - just super coiled up with I think much more to give. More Nuits than Beaune, think Morey. Not closed though - dark and dense more like, blood iron with some greenery and very dark fruit. The thing I'm most intrigued by is the Islay malt finish (Ardbeg 10 year?). Saline and savory, slightly meaty.

If you have some worth an open as a reference point, but this feels like a heavy hold for maximum enjoyment.
