Antica Terra Pinot Noir Botanica '12 - Dark red, luscious fruits and complexity in bouquet, good richness, lots going on in a balanced fashion, tannins but in abeyance, elegant and silky, fine staying power in the glass and for additional cellaring. Another superb offering by Maggie Harrison. [E+]

Delicicous with sauteed crawfish, farfalle, green beans...then pecan pie cookie.

Yes, I anticipated that Maggie's style is probably not so well received in these environs...and I can understand that.

I guessed that. Maggie "terroir does not exist" Harrison never seemed particularly pleasant. And she describes this wine as "exceptionally concentrated," which seems the antithesis of what pinot noir should be. So though I have not tried it, perhaps it is the apotheosis of extraction + oak?

Antica Terra Botanica Pinot Noir '12 -- Dark red, dark fruits in abundance, alluring style, nicely evolved with some time to go, pleasingly complex flavor profile, no shyness in this Pinot, really another sampling of this enjoyable Willamette Valley bottling. [E]

Plenty of gumption to pair well with calf's liver/polenta, roasted squash, and sauteed spinach.
