Lee Short
1998 Bachelet Gevrey VV -- Drinking well enough, but definitely holding something in reserve. Classic Gevrey. Will not open another bottle for 2-3 years, but not disappointed that I tried one.

2004 Tissot Arbois Savignin -- lovely straight out of the bottle. Plenty of rancio character; perfect with nuts. Long, clean finish. So sad I only have one more.

Did you seriously just post a note about Tissot being "clean"? Have you not seen what just. happened. to. me?

Be thankful that nobody else is named Lee on this board/forum/edifice.

(BTW, thanks for the note)

I posted the note first.

It seems you've drawn fire, and the gunners are distracted. Thanks for taking one for the team.

Surprisingly, the Tissot did not hold up well on the 2nd day (kept corked in the wine fridge at approx 55F overnight).

Just so you know.

i think i am figuring out the tissot bottling nomenclature....compared to his "traminer" bottling (which gets topped up), the "savagnin" (which doesn't) is sort of a VJ junior I guess.

would be curious to try side by side with a VJ. thanks for the notes, Lee.
