Have been tasting lots and lots of great 2007 German Rieslings this past week -- Dienst ist Dienst! -- so looked for something to switch to for dinner tonight. A Cinque Terre was just too bland and washed out, but a 2006 Faiveley Montagny -- perfectly good, but nothing extraordinary, turned out to be a fantastic palate refresher accompanying pasta with smoked salmon and preserved lemons.
