I tasted through his lineup a few years ago when his importer (Winemonger) brought him to VinoVenue in SF. Pretty good stuff from a young guy in Spitz. He's got part of the Singerriedel vineyard, so that should provide some interesting wines to taste. He also makes an entry level GV named Kalmuck (named after some Austrian garment) that was pretty forgettable when I had it in '05. He should be pouring his '07s, and my impression of that year so far has been quite favorable. If you do go to the tasting and meet Emily Weissman of Winemonger there, say hi to her for me.

p.s. How can you not pull for a young Austrian winemaker burdened with the name Franz-Josef?
