Does anyone know Hurley?

Not Elizabeth Hurley but Cynthia Hurley.
Her write ups are interesting but something at the bottom of each email bothers me. It says

"This is an advertisement about these wines. As always, the pricing and sale of any wine is made only by the licensed retailer who will arrange for delivery on behalf of the customer at $6 per case. The retailer must collect 7% NJ sales tax on all sales."

The delivery price of $6 seems innocent enough but why would I pay 7% NJ sales tax if I don't live in Jersey?

I was thinking the guy from Lost.

I thought the Cynthia Hurley messages used to say, basically, "email me and I'll figure out a way to get the wine to you". Guess that changed.

I've bought a few Hurley wines through a MA shop and they have been consistently good but not earth-shattering.

My guess on the tax is that it is required by her wine sales license for doing business out of NJ. She isn't selling directly to an individual just to retail shops.
