Hiedler Weissburgunder "Maximum" question

I love pinot blanc and this is supposed to be one of the better of them. I've bought a bottle of the 2006 Hiedler Weissburgunder "Maximum" and I'm wondering how soon I can taste to get a good sense of what it's really like. Is it good now? If so, I might want to buy more.

Not an answer, more of a datum, but:

Hiedler 2007 Weissburgunder Maximum (Kamptal) Massive and ripe, yet despite the power and weight giving an impression of utter dryness (which impression may, for all I know, be false). An initially overwhelming avalanche of crushed bones is followed by mirrorball-faceted minerality, sparkling and pulsing. Decrescendos rapidly, but stunning while it lasts. The importer calls this the best pinot blanc in the world. Its not the finish needs to be longer for that but its certainly in the top rank. (12/08)

Thor:
Have you had the 2006? Is the 2007 significatnly better? Seems like a better vintage overall in Austria, but maybe not for Hiedler's pinot blanc.

But the 2006 is 15 percent alcohol. I don't know much about the wine but that's got to be at the far end of the bell curve.

So what's the best Pinot Blanc in the world?

I don't accept the premise of the question, so I have no idea.

My favorite is probably the Boxler "B" bottling, from the Brand. Or maybe that would be "favorite wine labeled pinot blanc," because it's a pinot blanc/auxerrois blend.

How much alcohol can one get from a bell pepper?

You have inspired me. When pepper season rolls around, I will buy the sweetest, late-harvest red peppers I can find, and ferment them and find out.

Vendange Tardive or Seleccion Capisciums Nobiles?
