2008 Sineann Pinot Gris Oregon
My first try at this vintage. Slivery gold in color, clear and bright. The aromatics on this wine are wonderful. The explode from the glass in a Riesling-like minerals, citrus and also a bit of almonds. Full bodied. On the palate, this seems fuller and rounder than the crisp 2007 version. Full citrus flavors. A long finish. At $18, this is a very good value but I think the 07 will age a bit whereas this seems like it needs to be drunk sooner. Glass stopper.

2007 Domaine du Vissoux (Pierre-Marie Chermette) Beuajolais VV Cuvee Tradtionelle
Always a house favorite. Ruby in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose is very nice with cherries and dark cherries. Medium bodied with a lovely texture that is silky. Cherries and minerals on the palate. The price on this is up to $20 Ohio, but still a good value. These age well so I bought a few to drink now and a couple to lay down.

Cherries and dark cherries?

Ouch on the $20.

But nice wine.
