88 Prince Florent de Merode Corton Bressandes Firm blood orange and pomegranate, iron, a press of acid, earth, fir boughs. Lovely dinner wine with chicken breast and roasted vegetables.

98 Denis Mugneret Clos Vougeot I grabbed this thinking it would be far too young, but even through the bottle it looked ready to go, and it was. A lovely wine, a touch of merde, a little meaty, fine pinot fruit, on the rustic and traditional side but without crossing the line into roughness. A nod to Gevrey. Great balance, very good now but certainly another five years won't hurt and may help.
