That's good to hear, Levi. I wish them all the success in the world in this new venture and look forward to visiting there in person (I was very impressed with my one meal at Cendrillon).

Funny you should ask. I was indeed the first through the door for the soft opening Saturday lunch

How was it, you ask? I am a known partisan, so I went to a soft opening prepared to be tolerant and take a joke, but no such tolerance required. The food was great. So was the pilsener. .
 
SFJoe is London Joe today, and it gets worse through the week, so no further Ditmas Park adventures for a while.
 
Finally made it to Purple Yam for the first time today.

Very good, chicken adobo was a bit too vinegary but everything else was top notch. Kalamansi meringue pie with guava sorbet was a particular stand out.

Still has a very nice wine list including the 2010 Texier CDR at $33.

We'll be back.

I was also surprised at what a nice neighborhood Ditmas Park is. Some lovely old homes, a farmer's market, some other attractive restaurants. Unfortunately being at the far end of the Q makes it fairly impractical as a place to live.
