TN: A great Henri Maire

Arnt Egil Nordlien

Chateau-Chalon reserve aux de Nesles 1961
Lightly golden colour. Pretty and lightly oxidative nose. Very complex and intense. Hints of nuts, salt, minerality, light sotolon-notes. Fullbodied, slim and refreshing wine in the mouth. Concentrated and nutty fruit. Again a touch of sotolon and salty minerality. Great depth. A clear and typical Vin jaune that has held up very nicely. Refreshing citrusy finish. Very long and dry taste. Great food-wine and a great bottle of Chateau-Chalon.

There was also another bottle of this wine from the late 60's, but with the vintage-label missing. It was too oxidized and was not good at all.
