Tart cherry fruit with some darker earthy undertones. Luscious, but could probably benefit from a year or two. Just as good on day 2.
 
Jay, if you can get your hands on it, his Ct cuve (only made in 2006) "Pivoine" is incredible. As are his whites. (Oh, & it's Villemade.)

Thanks Sharon, I've fixed the typo. I see Chambers has the '07 blanc but alas no Cot.

Jay, I should add that while Villemade's "domaine" white is a very nice wine, it's really his higher-end whites "Bodice" (Cheverny) and "Acacias" (Cour-Cheverny) that are worth seeking out.
