wine bars in Madrid and Barcelona?

Any favorites? Places to avoid? Two of my good friends are visiting Spain, and I'd like to steer them in the right direction. They have recently discovered the joys of Spanish wines via Jos Pastor selections.

Thanks,
Brad

Some good ones (always with hot food too, BTW):

In Madrid:

Asturianos, calle Vallehermoso 94

Taberna Laredo, calle Menorca 14

El Quinto Vino,calle Hernani 48

In Barcelona:

La Vinya del Senyor, plaa Santa Maria del Mar 5

nima 3,carrer dels Escudellers Blancs 3

Monvnic,carrer Diputaci 249

This is much more than just a wine bar - an amazing space devoted to the culture of wine, owned by a (rich) super-geek, Sergi Ferrer-Salat...

Muchas gracias!

Here's a second for Victor's recommendation of Monvinic. It's a great place with some interesting wines and very friendly and helpful staff. They also weren't overflowing with business when I was there (June '09) so getting in shouldn't be too difficult.

Best wine lists in Madrid are Taberna Laredo and Piera. Kabuki Wellington has also a great list, although is an expensive japanese restaurant. Another good spot is Cuenllas in C/ Ferraz
