2005 Brz...what was I thinking?!

I couldn't quell my curiosity so I opened a bottle.

Totally shut down. The oak not integrated. Decanted and left to sit for 8 hours. Nothing had changed upon retasting. The next day it was still unrelentingly closed down.

Promising balance. Wisps of fruit. Dry.

I suggest to leave it alone for a while, maybe even a long while, though my experience with this wine is limited to this vintage and the 2002.

How many days did you get to follow it?

Three.

Definitely not enough.

It turns out I left about two ounces at the bottom of the bottle and stashed it in the fridge. I'll give it a try tomorrow. That'll make six days of O2.
