Too bad those lines got erased...

Where's Levi?

This post is for you.

Calabretta Etna Rosso 2000

100% Nerello Mascalese....80 yr old vines

What a beautiful wine this is....still young, but proud and upright...still tannic but jubilant. This ain't no cot/kot/nebb/cab/syr/gren/blah/blah.

Ripe, in a fucked up sort of way.

I'll let this slide for now, but let's not forget the existence of a very helpful PWI thread, in case it's needed.

I love this wine. Levi's cast aspersions on it, saying every bottle he's had (all here in NY) has been heat damaged or something (correct me if I'm wrong, Levi). I've had two, also here in NY, and found them possibly oxidized but so good.

just give a wide berth to the rosado.

taste the ash.

ps - larry, that was the funniest line i've read here in at least a week.

wish i knew what pwi meant...i think.

edit - wow, search worked....thanks. now i know where to go.
