a new tequila

Last night we started our evening with some Bloody Marys. Or at least that's what I thought we were doing. Instead we used Tequila, so they were technically Bloody Marias. It was my first time using Tequila, and I must say I was very impressed. The mix we used was developed through the years by my friend Chris, and it was amazing! He was kind enough to share the recipe, listed below.

But, the mix wasn't the only lovely surprise. We tried a Tequila that was new to me and it was delicious! Tequila Regional Reposado is super small production, 100% agave and aged in barrels up to 1 year. The oak was very well integrated and the tequila was beautifully smooth. The most wonderful thing, however, was the lovely fruit. On the nose and on the palate, this Tequila just sang when sipped later in the evening on ice. Absolutely distinctive, hand-made stuff.
