'96 G. Roumier MSD Clos de la Bussire

1996 Domaine G. Roumier Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Clos de La Bussire, alc 13%
The color seems advanced...browning and clearing at the edges....nose is musty with almost a cigar box quality...after decanting and swirling this is still fairly muted on the palate with sour fruits and little acidity....the finish is abrupt....

Served with grouper En Papillote with steamed carrots....the food was great...the wine...not so much..

? flawed bottle or is this really just over the hill??

My guess as well....it was at a restaurant/wine bar as part of their stock for ??some time?? and cleared at a wine store about 1.5 yrs ago...
