05 O Raffault Chinon Picasses

Powerfully expressive purple berries and even a fatty slightly bacon-y nose. Cassis. A little soapy, with classic Chinon soft chalk tannin, enough to be gum grippy. Here on the second night the acid is more apparent.

My 2nd comment was meant to temper my first post - this does seem a little light on acid (not saying it's out of balance) but it does seem like it will drink well early and not shut down - but I would think it would age too.

I suspect Joe is pulling our leg a little?

Ouff. Like Joe Dressner talking up the latest "Loirehound" newsletter years ago? I fell for that too. Damn.
