I'm sick of bretty wines

We drank a good bottle of this a couple weeks ago.
There was little clove which I think is a form of brett, but no barnyard poop.

if you are brett-averse, that wine was always teh crapola. from day one, as i recall. i feel your pain.

that said, i wish there was a way of cross-linking this to .sasha's description of hard scary wine from the supposedly no-brainer mugnerets, and ian's recent post on muscadet and beaujolais (or at least, i wish i could be bothered to do the linking).

there are no no-brainers. just percentages. if you want the highs, you have to take the lows. do you want the thrills and random brilliance of puzelat, or the reassuring excellence of marc ollivier? do you want a handsome faithful wife, or do you want to bang every hot girl you see?

for anyone but CENSORED the honest answer is always "both," -- but you know that's a pointy pipe-dream. so what do you do? you remind yourself of the percentages. and think about them (how many people ignore marc's wines simply because they fail to bite their asses often enough?). and you make your choices.

just don't be damning the smelly hipster kids if that's what you have to do to meet the weird preppy girls; and don't be damning the weird preppy girls for not being virgins.

fb. (on hand to prep-pep talk.)

ps. for those who care to mix statistics with aesthetics, a terrible metaphor .

picking the right burgundy to cellar is easy next to this shit.

[From teh Grauniad] "You can't give a medal named after Compton and Miller to someone like Cook, just because he ground out 700 runs in a series," says Richard O'Hagan. "Miller would've got bored and got himself out long before he had half of those, whilst Compton's idea of a good night was a large meal and ten hours of drinking; Cook thinks it is a big night if he watches both of his Toy Story DVDs before bedtime."

remember kids, "there are no no-brainers. just percentages. if you want the highs, you have to take the lows. do you want the thrills and random brilliance of puzelat, or the reassuring excellence of marc ollivier? do you want a handsome faithful wife, or do you want to bang every hot girl you see?"

as always... wrong. but right.

predicting it is easier than watching it. Unless you're an England fan.

or a fan of metaphor. without checking, he's most likely scored them faster than compton or miller.

the potential for spoof comparisons is endless.
