I just landed some Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape 'Cuvee Reservee' '07.

Can anyone offer any current opinions on this selection e.g. caliber, drinking window, etc.?

Thanks!

No experience with this bottle. I've stopped drinking C9 younger than 10 years, and only rarely then. I'd expect Pegau 07 to be a true vin de garde.

I last had it in March, 2010 at the domaine, fairly recently after bottling. If you like 07s and you like Pegau, you will like this Pegau. Although it will likely shut down at some point, I doubt it has by now. Ian is right that it will last a long time, and be much better around 10 or so, but if you like to taste young Pegau, I'd go for it now rather than in a year or two.

Thanks, guys, for the good input...which supplements my own feelings.

Yes, I do like Pegau but I'm not that familiar with the '07 CNdPs in general other than what pundits/people have reported.

Ten years of cellaring does seem to be a worthy goal (if I can keep my hands off of it...and I usually can!!).
