soft gold in the glass. loads of caramelized sugar and a bit of smoke on the nose. the wine spreads out on the palate in waves...citrus on the attack, white fruit, then a dose of creme brulee comes on strong before the limey grapefruit which has crept along the sidelines until now rises to finish things off. several seconds later the lasting flavor is unmistakably butter with a touch of popcorn. soft floating on the palate with a medium-light silky mouthfeel....not earth shattering, but certainly tasty, interesting and fun. paired well with turmeric, chili and cinnamon dusted chicken thigh chunks slow cooked in a dutch oven...
