2007 Rene Rostaing Puech Noble White Wine Coteaux du Languedoc, alc 13.5%
(blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 35% Rolle ( Vermentino) and 15% Viognier. The wine has been fermented in stainless steel only....pale yellow in the glass...nose is floral and moderately intense.....the palate is also more intense than the color would predict with good acidity/sharpness and a long smooth finish....it is on the balance of bitter and sweet...Very nice...

Especially good with an Artisanal Sheep Cheese from Willow Hill farm in Milton Vermont called "Vermont Brebis" ...this is semi-soft with an intense grassy/nutty/sl funky nose and a very wonderful texture and finish...
this is pasteurized

an internet site yielded the following
"Puech Noble. In the late 1990s, René and his wife purchased a property in the Côteaux du Languedoc near Nîmes. The estate, originally named Puech Chaud, is now known as Puech Noble. Located in a relatively cool micro- climate, Puech Noble gave René a chance to produce Syrah on the limestone soils so beloved by many French growers. Bolstered with small amounts of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Rolle, Puech Noble is now producing one of the South’s most beautiful wines."

Not sure where the white grapes fit into this account...
