2005 Az. Ag. Biologica i Botri di Ghiaccioforte Morellino di Scansano Riserva "Vigna i Botri"
On my most recent visit, this was recommended to me by the staff at Chambers St. as ready to go and indeed it was, though it will likely get better with a bit more bottle age. Initially, the nose was about pencil lead and dusty cherry, but it took on more tarry notes as it sat open. Fairly rich mouthfeel and open, but with enough acidity to pair well with tonight's dinner of cheese tortellini.
