At a local wine purveyor's shop among hundreds and hundreds of wines stored at ~55 degrees, here are a few of what was opened for tasting.

Ch Pontac Lynch Margaux '07 -- Musty nose, dark fruits, black cherry, wispy tannins, medium acid, simplistic profile, perhaps a bit dusty. [VG]

NOTE: Ch Margaux is reportedly trying to buy this chateau and incorporate its fruit into its bottlings.

Pontoise Cabarrus Haut Medoc '08 -- Fruit forward, moderate tannins and acid, some complexity and earthiness, textbook Claret style. Great value (at under $20). [VG - E]

George Mugneret Nuits St George Chaignots 1er Cru '06 -- Floral bouquet, good spice, some vanilla, round fruits, elegant earthiness, some power. [VG]

Domaine Jean & Jean Trapet Gevrey Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru '02 -- Exuberant and complex nose, cherries, earth, dark fruits, very pretty, good concentration, medium tannins, smooth, delicious. [E]

Anne Gros Echezeaux Les Loachausses Grand Cru '07 -- Bright red fruits, lovely earthiness, nice spice, dark/red cherries, excellent depth and dimension, refined rusticity (?). [E]
