Terroir articles

My wife is putting together a discussion seminar for first-year college students on the notion of place and land. Does anybody have any recommended short (3 page-ish) articles/excerpts that deal with terroir and it's cultural manifestation(s.) It doesn't need to be overly academic in nature, but it certainly can be.
