LDM has been in between distributors for the past 6 months or so in WA so we haven't seen any new releases in quite a while.
The last week has been a bit of a LDM lovefest in our house as we see the first start to trickle in through Noble.

2009 Les Hérétiques(d'Oupia)
If anyone has had a more satisfying wine recently for under $10 I'd like to try it. Fresh and vibrant and killer with grilled mushrooms and a roasted balsamic beet and radicchio salad. All about summertime grilling.

2009 d'Oupia Minervois
Played the warm climate syrah card a little more heavily than its little brother. More about the musky animale than the fruit of Les Hérétiques. I liked this better the second day but it still seemed a bit heavy for the warm weather we are enjoying. More of a cooler weather fall wine.

2008 Matassa L'Estanya (VDP des Cotes Catalanes)
Loved this. Very alive and fresh. Couldn't find out much about this cuvee but tastes like carbonic syrah or carignan. A touch of VA which lifted rather than detracted.
Quite a changling in the glass over 2 days. Perfect transition red from summer to fall.

2010 Pepiere Muscadet
Chilled on glacial ice and drank from the bottle beside an alpine lake. Pretty much resembled the setting in which it was enjoyed. (real cork!)
