Had great spice notes on the nose...cinnamon, cedar, and clove. Palate is in a really good place with elegant floral tones, dried tobacco and subtle earth. The finish had moderate tannins and lively acidity. Should remain an elegant example of Loire Cot for years to come.

actually, this was a winebid bottle that mistakingly shipped from SF to South Dakota during some cold weather. i decided to pop it tonight and it's showing very nicely.

Did it have a natural cork? I seem to recall (perhaps mistakenly) that the '08 had a synthetic cork. Or maybe I was hammered.
