At various dinner tables:
Vignes du Maynes (Julien Guillot) 2010 Bourgogne Rouge - yup
Croft 1994 Vintage Port - last time I had this was 2007; then, it was sweet and plummy but also a little spirity and just on the cusp between primary and secondary; opened a couple days ago, this is now drinking beautifully, still sweet but finally on its plateau
Monje 2008 Tacoronte-Acentejo Tinto Tradicional - a little rustic, a little rough, great wine, stood up to my homemade cassoulet, too
Dom. le Briseau 2006 Jasnieres "Kharakter" - last drunk in 2009 and it was minerally and good; opened a couple days ago, this bottle has become fizzy and is getting tired
Brun J P 2008 Fleurie - crisp and pure, someone around here said to open this now but I think it improved a lot with a couple hours of air
Sips in the cellar:
Ch. Calon-Segur 2000 St-Estephe - classic claret, which surprises me a bit because I remember what a hub-bub there was over the heat and the spoof in that year; have we changed or has it simply shrugged off those little things (like vintage and wine-making)?
Lucian Crochet 2002 Sancerre Rouge - nice enough but not very distinctive, rich enough to be interesting, there is a definite chalky taste underlying the (very spare) berry profile
some new single-vineyard Rioja from a bunch of guys, two of whom are the importers - some nice floral smellies but the palate is strange: pleasant texture but the flavors don't support the nose; too international to easily identify as Rioja
