2010 Kruger-Rumpf Binger Scharlachberg Riesling Spatlese - lovely, long, pit fruity wine. A delight to drink.8%

2008 Rebholz Kastanienbusch GG - impressive but a bit of a slog. A stern wine which I admire more than I enjoy. A bit heavy though it certainly improved with air. 12.5%

Well, I'm glad to see some more praise for Kruger-Rumpf - they have produced some excellent wines in the last few years. The 2010s were very good, though I absolutely loved the 2009s.

I have enjoyed some recent Kruger-R releases too, very nice and fair price considering where I live!

Salil opened one when it was his first turn to host our monthly blind dinner. I've been buying them ever since (albeit in small quantities as they don't show up much in my usual haunts). Truly excellent value for some beautiful wines.

I had the pleasure of tasting through a number of Rebholz wines with Hansjorg Rebholz last week, and one of the attendees had the great generosity of bring the 2001 and 2002 Rebholz Kastanienbusch GG so we could see how the wines evolve. The 2001 in particular was wonderful.
The GG Rieslings in general are certainly not made for maximum enjoyment in their youth.
