Kind words

Speaking of 15% plus (which I always thought was Zinfandel/port territory), just got back from a shop looking for wine to take to dinner party. Almost left with 2017 Vajra Barbera until I noticed the label said 15.5%. WTF!? Was it that insanely hot in 17? Is that the new Vajra approach?
 
Rahsaan, I tried a bottle of the Vajra JC Clare Nebbiolo recently, I was intrigued by the idea of a semi carbonic style of Nebbiolo. It had very pretty aromatics and the tannins were silky smooth. The downside was the alcohol hit pretty hard. I don’t remember the exact abv but think it was over 14.5 and maybe 15%.
