This was a lot better than the Pallieres and an interesting study in contrast. Firmly secondary, nicely framed, clean, no spoof in any way. No surprises. Seemed concrete raised. I liked it and think it will be nice when it moves into a tertiary phase. Kind of a nice predictable cheerleader kind of Gigondas.
 
The wines definitely see oak now and did in 2002 when I visited the domaine. To my memory it got more marked around 2000, but it's also true that my oak allergy became much more pronounced then. He said that in ten years his wines would taste like the ones his father made. Maybe he was right.
