To me, so many ross seem to have a raw hamburger quality to them I attribute to a combination of high phenolic fruit and juniper. I discovered this sensation first with a glass of Finnish Sahti that to me tasted so powerfully of rare flesh to be undrinkable. Ive never had such a dominant experience with ros, but it is there at some level more often than not.

Not the case with CRB ros. Mild cinnamon and red fruit aromas give way to restrained anis and citrus. A sip is so well-balanced as to somehow disappear yet it lives so intensely that it resists anything other than the analysis of primal brain regions. I could drink bottles of this, often.

Indeed. I'm typing up on a note on this wine right now, and the word that I've got underlined in my notebook is ethereal.

Really? I thought of it more as crystalline.
