Camille Giroud Pommard Les Épenots 1er Cru '06 -- Medium dark red, lots of deep aromatics, berries and spice, quite approachable, solid core of lively fruit, medium body, fine now and over the near term. [E]
Domaine de la Vougeraie Nuits St. Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru '05 -- Dark red, resilient bouquet, leather, some oak, dark fruits, good balance and refinement, lots going on, quite interesting. [E]
Alain Hudelot-Noellat Vosne-Romanée Les Beaumonts 1er Cru '04 -- Bright red, active bouquet, blackberries plus red fruits, some earth, balance of power and finesse, spice, integrated oak, appealing elements keep on keeping on. [E]
