Brookstone Wine Chiller

It looks as though this appliance would be useful to the novice wine enthusiast in a variety of ways.

For the experienced wine person, perhaps the most useful application might be ensuring the correct warmer or cooler temperature for white wines when they are actually served.

Okay, I'll admit to trying this. It wasn't a Brookstone, but same design.
first off, Bordeaux bottles were even a tight fit. Some wouldn't fit. Forget Burgundy bottles. Considering Rhones and pinot make up most of my wine collection, it was useless. I note the Brookstone listing specifically refers to Champagne, though.
Secondly, it was slow. One of those ice packs you freeze and wrap around the bottle works better.
