07 Roilette normale

Just to report in that this is just ridiculously good right now - shadows of iron and manganese, lightly sugared plums, a hint of meat and earth. Hard to argue for not drinking RIGHT NOW!

PS as much as I knew it at the time, I am greatly regretting not buying much, much more 07 CB. It's so good right now for fresh early drinking.

Good news.
I found this wine to overwhelm with its typical candied fruit initially, about a year ago. I was fortunately able to rescue the bottle from the clutches of irresponsible fruit lovers, and the wine showed beautifully on day three. I always recognize a candied component here, regardless of vintage, but it works, makes sense and is in balance. Except at odd stages when it is not.
