Florida Jim
Dug into the cellar here in NC and found a lone bottle of the 1995 Rubino de la Palazzola. Last time I tasted it was maybe 5-8 years ago and it was too tannic and simple. Tonight, after decanting several hours, it was very nice. Reminded me of Sherman Potter saying " not enough O's in smooth."
Also had a recent light white (godello based) that I bought at Total Wine that was made by Cotarella and enjoyed it.
I remember folks saying this guy was too much like Rolland and that his wines would reflect it. Maybe so, but even a blind squirrel . . .
Best, Jim

Jim, I envy your presence in the Linville/Hounds Ears/Banner Elk/Grandfather paradise. And with good wine to boot!

Perfect combination!
