Wine Too Good to Drink!?!

Anything too good to drink isn't worth buying. There are way more satisfying things than a bottle of wine on which to cast one's aesthetic gaze, and most of them don't charge much for the privilege.

Agreed!

I know people who have bought for investment and sold at a big profit. I can't imagine designating wine just for display.

I have never bought anything I don't intend to drink.

Some of those bottles sound interesting (e.g., the champagne bottled for Napoleon) but I view them as historical artifacts not really wine anymore.

The stuff is for drinking, or should be.

Save the bottles if you like, but why ensure that no one ever drinks the wine?
